Training

24/2/2015

All our current electricians have all been through and passed four years of apprenticeship training before they became qualified electricians.

We must train to have the knowledge and skills to be able to carry out electrical work correctly and safely.
Our initial apprenticeship training is then supplemented by working out in the field and gaining hands on experience which broadens our skills.

Unlike some trades though electricians have to continue training throughout their careers to not only learn new skills but also to keep up to date with latest regulations and health and safety matters. So the next time you employ an electrician into your business or home a good starting point would be to ask them what training courses they have been on within the last 5 years and ask to see their SJIB Grade card which requires to be updated regularly and also states their training qualifications.

Stirling Electrical Services electricians regularly attend training courses for the services we undertake and over the coming weeks all our electricians will be attending courses for asbestos awareness, electrical appliance testing, powered mechanical lifting equipment and importably an update course for our BS7671 electrical regulations which have an amendment update published this year.

Good electricians and electrical companies should be regularly attending courses such as the ones above and the reason we do this is to make sure that the work we undertake for you our customers is carried out technically correct and also that it is carried out safely.

Contact Our Job Booking Team Not An Attic Electrician

When you contact Stirling Electrical Services you will not be speaking to an electrician on a mobile phone who is crawling under a floor or who is getting all hot and bothered running a cable in an attic, instead you will be speaking to our experienced Job Booking Team in our office in Fallin on the outskirts of Stirling.

Aided by computer job scheduling software and customer database which links directly to our satellite tracking system in all our vehicles our office based team will be able to bring up your customer and past job details in an instant and are ready to input your new details onto our computer system.

They always know where our electricians are working to help decide when we can get an electrician to you.

Our office team are available Monday to Friday 8am-5pm and Saturday 9am-1pm and can be contacted here.

A sad day at our business as Ronnie one of our electricians retired.

Always a loyal, hard working employee that had great customer service skills he will be missed by both colleagues and customers.

The golf course and hopefully much more family time await him now - richly deserved though if you ask me.

A Week of Change

24/11/2014

We embark on another busy week here at SES and it is not only jobs that are keeping us busy but also in the HR department too.

Today(Monday) we welcome a new electrician Alan who will be a good addition to our team.

But this week is also a sad one as one of our most loved and respected electricians Ronnie is set to retire. Ronnie has been a great asset to our company and will be sadly missed(more on Ronnie's retirement later in the week).

Also this week we will be releasing job applications for two posts:
  1. Customer Service Advisor
  2. PAT Tester and Small Appliance Repairer.

As I said, it is not only busy times but also exciting times at our company.

Preparation

It's the start of the October school holiday week here in Stirling which means we have a small number of electricians off on holiday with their families.

We have been very busy of late so the electricians that are working this week will be working wonders completing all our jobs and continuing the super service that they carry out.

This time of year also gives us time to reflect and and then prepare for the long winter months ahead where we hope but also expect to be busy with our usual faults, maintenance and testing work. We have also been working on improving our current services and also working on new services that we hope will begin soon.

It's busy and at times hectic here but it sure is interesting and exciting....just what we need to keep us going through the cold dark nights ahead.
