COVID-19 Symptom Screening - Customers and Engineers
During the COVID-19 situation, when making a job booking our office team will ask if you, or any household member or work colleague is self-isolating, showing symptoms or has been diagnosed with COVID-19. This is to ensure your safety, the safety of our engineers and to help limit the spread of the virus. If you or someone in your household is self-isolating we will take all the necessary measures possible to limit contact with those who are self-isolating.
From the time at which the job was booked to the job taking place, you must inform us immediately if you, a household member or work colleague currently have or have recently shown symptoms of COVID-19 and if so, your job may be postponed or cancelled at short notice. If this only becomes known to us when we attend your property and we have not been notified beforehand, a call out attendance fee may apply.
Our engineers are also to notify us immediately if they start to show symptoms of COVID-19. As this would likely result in our engineer having to self-isolate, although we will endeavour to have another engineer undertake your job, depending on the nature and technical ability of your job if no other suitable engineer is available it may result in the postponement of your job at short notice.
We have the right to cancel and our engineers have the right to refuse to attend or occupy a property if they have any concerns for your or their own health if current health advice including the below guidance has not been followed.

Other Customer and Engineer Measures
When attending a job in or around homes or offices, we will try and avoid contact as much as possible with other workers, customers, or members of the public.
- We will endeavour to remain 2 metres away from others for the duration of the job and we ask that customers likewise remain 2 metres away from our engineers
- We ask that customers leave all internal doors open to minimise contact with door handles
- We ask that customers ventilate their property before, during and after our visit
- We ask that customers identify busy areas across the household and office areas where people travel to, from or through (for example, stairs and corridors) and minimise movement within these areas
- We ask that customers who will be in the property while work takes place should minimise contact with our engineers as far as possible for the duration of the job (e.g. remaining in a separate room where no work is taking place, staying upstairs if work is taking place downstairs, remaining inside if we are working outside)
- We ask that customers be particularly strict about handwashing, coughing and sneezing hygiene, such as covering your nose and mouth and disposing of single-use tissues
- While very much appreciated, our engineers will politely turn down the offer of any drink and food while working at your premises
- Toilet facilities - we will do all we can to avoid having to use your toilet facilities while we work within your home or office premises. In circumstances where we require to use your toilet facilities we will ask for permission beforehand. We ask that if it is expected that our engineer will be working at your property for a lengthy period of time that you take measures to clean and provide toilet facilities if possible and our engineer will also take cleanliness measures before and after using your toilet facilities
