Notice to customers who have a RISCO security alarm system installed that is connected to their properties internet and that use either the iPhone/Android smartphone app to set and unset their alarms.
From early 2021 RISCO have implemented charges for use of their cloud features.

The security alarm system that was installed included access to the RISCO Cloud service via customers internet connection and the RISCO Smartphone app. Access to the cloud service provided by RISCO was at the time of the install free of charge to both the installer company and to the end user.
During 2020 RISCO announced that an ongoing cost would soon be applied to the installer company and subsequent end user for the continuation of the RISCO Cloud service. This cost began in early 2021.
Please note: This does not affect the alarm systems operation via keypad or key fobs. Alarm systems will continue to operate as normal from the keypad or key fobs and this does not affect properties that have communicating devices to external monitoring stations and police response. This procedure remains unchanged.
We have recently contacted by email all customers who have access to the RISCO Cloud and app service and in that email we provided more information on the change as well as details of the annual cost.
We will continue to try and contact customers who have not paid their annual RISCO Cloud cost but if any customer has not received that email we ask that they contact us immediately on 01786 813916 or by email. Any customer unsure about their current payment status with RISCO Cloud should contact us on the details above.
The annual cost for customers to continue to have access to RISCO Cloud can either be paid direct to us (the installer) or to RISCO. Customers that have not paid us their annual RISCO Cloud cost will now be contacted by RISCO themselves.
RISCO will then be in touch directly to discuss payment before deactivating access to RISCO Cloud. Please note that we have no control over when RISCO will contact or the timeframe before access to RISCO Cloud is lost, so it is beneficial that customers pay the cost direct to us.
The new RISCO Cloud service annual cost is out with our control and we have done our best to delay and minimise the inconvenience to our customers and we hope you understand. If you require any further information or clarification please contact our security system team who will be able to help further.
Systems effected are as follows:

- The smartphone application provides you with an easy way to manage your home or business security. The app is an additional tool and not a ‘basic part’ of your alarm system.
- This change has no impact on the workings of your security system.
- The charge is not per user but per site (= security system). This means there is only one charge, even if there are multiple smartphone users for a single security system.
- Your online cloud platform is installed on servers which provide the highest levels of security, backup and GDPR-compliant user privacy.
- The manufacturer continues to develop cloud and app services to introduce or enhance future new features such as enhanced video, home automation and doorbell integration.
